Job description

Job Purpose
Reporting to the VP of Inventory Management, Asia and Europe, this role leads our ambition to create inventory transparency, optimize allocation/deployment decisions to support on-time full-price sales at highest operating margin whilst achieving the company's inventory turn targets. Collaborating closely with each of the cluster Buying Leads to orchestrate inventory decisions strategically across the various markets in Asia, he/she acts as a trusted advisor to the Commercial Leaders of Greater China, South Asia & MENA and East Asia Pacific to support the end-to-end strategy execution to the store/door level.
- Builds and manage complex and effective inventory strategies that align with financial objectives of the company.
- Standardize and govern one holistic regional inventory view at required granularity levels to allow decision taking.
- Serve as a liaison between planning, supply planning, and inventory management to build delivery plans & flow forecasts.
- Steer Market SCM to establish impactful stock management through one set of reports and appropriate business controls to drive healthy inventory levels, reduce excess and support DC network capacity utilization.
- Lead and support the team in resolving issues related to product shipment delays.
- Recommend exception management activities.
- Prepare inventory content for Global S&OP meetings including recommendation of best trading options based on latest changes in demand to fill gaps/course-correct initial planning & buying decisions.
- Drive global initiatives to continuously build transparency, improve inventory accuracy and manage inventories end to end - from point of purchase to final clearance.
- Improve global and regional inventory related decision making through system supported scenario planning; elevate deployment optimization above market considering AI.
- Leads, coaches and develops team members to ensure performance objectives are achieved and ongoing career development occurs.
- Provides Net requirements to SP to ensure production is sized in timely manner.
- Work together with SP to define and work out different Inventory optimization initiatives and define requirements.


- Bachelor's degree with at least 10 years of Inventory Management experience (preferably in a retail environment).
- Leadership experience leading large complex, multi-national teams in matrix environment.
- Proven results/recognition for leadership by company and peers.
- Direct experience in managing key functions in planning, supply, supply chain, and logistics.
- Strong understanding of supply chain principles and operating practices, demand planning, inventory management, supply processes, logistics, financial acumen, and management of cross functional interdependencies.
- Proven ability to manage business and engage to lead strategic projects.
- Deep experience in problem solving skills. Strong analytical/problem solving capabilities including the ability to quickly identify and communicate implications from consumer, internal and marketplace information.
- Demonstrated strength in analytics; identifying key issues and actionable insights from large amounts of data.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Proven ability to lead multi-functional stakeholders; build and maintain effective relationships across business units, global regions and cultures.
- Strong influencing and communication skills across organizational levels.

- Technical proficiency with computer software tools and the ability to learn new ones quickly (Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Access, internal Ace applications).
- SAP experience preferred.
- JDA or SAP APO or related supply chain a plus.
